Meh2/4 · Mediocre. Watchable if it is already on, but I would not go looking for it.
An action heist classic with consequences. For 2h50min of movie, there's too much filler though. The whole story about Al Pacino's family could've been skipped and everyone would have been spared the boring melodrama to increase empathy for the cop. Same goes for De Niro's romance subplot. The most interesting thing in the movie is the price De Niro has to pay for vengeance, and how he realizes he couldn't live knowing he didn't kill the murderer of one of his friends.
