A superhero drama action movie set in a parallel 80s where Nixon is still president. The greatest merit of this movie is that instead of filler you get microstories that explain the background of the characters and why their relationships are the way they are. This is top-tier storytelling, production and acting. The underlying plot seems like the typical superhero plot with betrayals and a villain to defeat. But there's no clear-cut morality here. Superheroes are criminals who killed people and were banned by the government or went insane instead of virtue-signaling cucks. The villain is the most charismatic and likeable character.

What it's about
In a gritty and alternate 1985, the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown. But after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered, an investigation into the killer is initiated. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their own destruction, but in doing so they uncover a sinister plot that puts all of humanity in grave danger.
