Double jeopardy

Meh2/4 · Mediocre. Watchable if it is already on, but I would not go looking for it.
A thriller about a husband who frames her wife to look like his own murderer and skips town with the insurance money. The whole title and idea of the movie is that you can't be convicted of killing the same person twice, according to the 5th Ammendment. But that is not the case: you can't be convicted of the same *crime* twice. Killing someone who faked their own death is still a crime. The rest of the movie is the typical 'framed hero proving their innocence' without consequences, predictable and with a cheesy ending.

What it's about

Libby Parsons, wrongly convicted of her husband Nick's murder, thinks he is still alive. She survives the long years in prison with two burning desires sustaining her -- finding her son and solving the mystery that destroyed her once-happy life. Standing between her and her quest, however, is her parole officer, Travis Lehman. Libby poses a challenge to the cynical officer, one that forces him to face up to his own failings while pitting him against his superior and law enforcement colleagues, as she plunges into a desperate fight for justice, survival, and revenge.
