Meh2/4 · Mediocre. Watchable if it is already on, but I would not go looking for it.
A dystopian family movie about an underground city that has survived for hundreds of years after a global catastrophe, and which is nearing the end of its resources. Apple's show Silo is a better version of this story because it's less oriented to kids and more brutal, which would have been a better way to tell this story, instead of trying to cater to children.

What it's about
For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights. But Ember's once powerful generator is failing and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. Now, two teenagers, in a race against time, must search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city's existence, before the the lights go out forever.
