Meh2/4 · Mediocre. Watchable if it is already on, but I would not go looking for it.
A biblical (christian) epic drama about a Jewish prince in Jerusalem that grows to hate Roman dominion. The movie is 3h 32min long and leads nowhere. There is no elaborate ending, no consequences for anything as all the 'good guys' survive. It tries to evoke pity on Jesus for being nailed unfairly, and that's about it. The political capital the main character achieves leads to no revolt; the powerful enemies he makes do not kill him; the dramatic relationships between the characters are not exploited. Overall, disappointing.
