Tragedy

A Woody Allen comedy about a playwright in the 1920s trying to keep control over his latest play. This is easily one of the best Woody Allen movies, and possibly the best comedy with a plot. There are several layers of humor: it mocks pseudointellectuals; it explores the issue of the creative control struggle between the artist and the producer; and, at the same time, it has the meta argument of being a play about a play.

An excellent french tragicomedy completely in verse about a love triangle in 17th century France. It's unique in that the whole movie is in verse. Having only watched the Spanish-dubbed version, I can't speak for the quality of the English verses but the Spanish version was excellent.
